Dr. Kattan is a highly qualified ophthalmologist with remarkable credentials.She completed her Ophthalmology residency at McGill University in 2012, affirming her expertise within the field. To further enhance her knowledge and skills, she pursued a super specialized fellowship in medical and surgical glaucoma at Dalhousie University.
In 2018, Dr. Kattan underwent surgical training in Lid and aesthetic surgery under the tutelage of renowned oculoplastic surgeons, Dr. Lucie Khoury in Montreal, Canada, and Dr. Francesco Bernardini in Genova, Italy. This additional training has undoubtedly broadened her scope of practice and refined her proficiency in this specialized area.
Aside from her exceptional qualifications, Dr. Kattan also takes part in various humanitarian missions and public education initiatives. Among these endeavors are the Surgical Cataract and Glaucoma mission in Trindade and Tobago in 2014, the Surgical Cataract mission in Jaipur, India in 2016, and the Surgical Cataract & Oculoplastic mission in Myanmar in 2019. These experiences demonstrate her dedication to helping underserved populations and improving eye healthcare globally.
Furthermore, Dr. Kattan actively engages in public speaking engagements to promote Glaucoma awareness and early detection. Since 2014, she has consistently contributed to educating the public on this important aspect of eye health.
